MK62 kit containing MR60 router and MS60 satellite; not Orbi hardware.
Check the exact device
Menu names and behavior can vary by US hardware revision and firmware. This guide was researched from official material, not tested on a physical router.
Applies to: MK62 kit containing MR60 router and MS60 satellite; not Orbi hardware.
Kit name versus device name
MK62 identifies a package. The MR60 is its router and has one Gigabit internet port plus one Gigabit LAN port. MS60 is the satellite and has one Gigabit Ethernet port. They are not interchangeable physical roles.
Wiring preflight
- Read the underside label to distinguish MR60 from MS60 before connecting the internet handoff.
- Connect the handoff to the MR60 internet port. Use its LAN side for downstream devices or a suitable switch.
- The data sheet supports Ethernet backhaul; the satellite's sole Ethernet port is also the port used in that wired path. Plan extra wired-client connections accordingly.
- Use NETGEAR's Nighthawk setup/support flow for this system, not an Orbi Sync procedure copied from another product family.
Verify / undo
Check the satellite and backhaul status in the appropriate app, then test a client. If the wiring change fails, restore the previous known-working topology and consult the model's support instructions. EasyMesh marketing in the sheet does not establish that any third-party EasyMesh device can join this kit.
