Check the exact device

Menu names and behavior can vary by US hardware revision and firmware. This guide was researched from official material, not tested on a physical router.

Applies to: EAP773 US V2, as selected on the inspected official page.

Version comes first

The inspected US V2 page lists BE11000, a 10-GbE uplink and 802.3at PoE or 12-V/2.5-A DC. This record does not establish the same power or radio specifications for V1.

Preflight and diagnosis

  1. Read the hardware version from the AP label and match the official version selector. Do not choose a power source from an old review of an unlabelled EAP773.
  2. Check that the switch or injector supplies the required power standard. Separately inspect Ethernet negotiation at both ends of the uplink.
  3. If Wi-Fi works but throughput is limited, compare the negotiated uplink with the rest of the path. A 10-GbE-capable AP on a slower switch port cannot remove that upstream limit.
  4. Check the client's supported bands and channel widths before expecting the product's combined radio class on one device.

Verify / undo

Test stability with an approved power source and a known-good link. Restore the original cable/power arrangement if a changed component causes restarts. Do not flash a different hardware version to obtain a feature listed on another revision's page.

Official evidence

Editorial boundary: No hands-on testing was performed. Confirm the device label, current firmware and live official instructions before making changes. Never send passwords, VPN keys or complete configuration backups to RouterFix.
