Check the exact device

Menu names and behavior can vary by US hardware revision and firmware. This guide was researched from official material, not tested on a physical router.

Applies to: Supported ROG GT-BE98 Pro firmware; do not apply automatically to every ASUS router.

Why the menu name changed

ASUS documents Guest Network Pro on compatible firmware from 3.0.0.6.102_34312 and its rename to Network from 3.0.0.6.102_35404. An absent old menu name is not by itself a missing hardware feature.

Follow the version branch

  1. Read the installed firmware and check the official supported-model list. Back up settings locally before changing network segmentation.
  2. In the older documented web flow, open Guest Network Pro > Guest Network. The corresponding app flow is Settings > Guest Network Pro > +. On renamed firmware, locate Network instead of expecting the old screenshot.
  3. Create the intended network using the live official options. Record the resulting network/VLAN assignment and access policy; do not equate a new SSID name with verified isolation.
  4. Reconnect a test client and inspect its addressing and permitted access.

Verify / undo

Test both internet access and the intended restriction on local resources. Remove or restore only the newly changed network if it does not behave as expected. Do not reset the entire router to recover an old menu label.

Official evidence

Editorial boundary: No hands-on testing was performed. Confirm the device label, current firmware and live official instructions before making changes. Never send passwords, VPN keys or complete configuration backups to RouterFix.
